PRESENTATION
Make Me! Why should I? The importance of pulling together
Creating spaces for positive security
Presentation overview
We typically only see security in action when something untoward occurs, but we often fail to recognise the role of security in creating environments in which people are better able to create and produce. In this talk, we explore this more positive side of security, examining what it takes to create positive forms of security and how these strengthen the more traditional security approaches. Drawing on 17 years of research into positive forms of information and cyber security, we set out an alternative framing of organisational security, give examples of techniques that will help you to develop positive forms of security, and discuss how you might measure the effectiveness of these techniques.
